The name Annavaram, is synonymous and universally well known in almost the Hindu households. It is the abode of Lord Sri Satyanarayana Swami. When a film is being made with the matching name, the expectation of the people on the film increase rapidly. People, take it for granted that it is a spiritual film, but the fact is that it is the name of the film Pawan Kalyan is acting as the hero. It is an out and out commercial film.

It is a remake of the film originally made in Tamil ‘Tirupachi’ and starring Vijay in the lead. Asin is the heroine and Sandhya (‘Premisthe’ fame) is playing the all-important of sister in the film. The shooting of the film is going at a rapid and brisk pace in the capital city of Hyderabad and bordering areas. The producers of the film have erected a huge replica of a Village.

The director of the film Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao, who is considered as a safe bet, when it comes to directing family subjects and remake films. Musical score is by Ramana Gogula who as I said earlier is fast turning out to be one of the busiest music directors in the film industry today. The producers of the film are N.V.Prasad and Paras Jain and the banner is the well-known Mega Super Good Films.

When will the film be released is the moot question in everybody’s mind. The film, which was launched with huge fanfare and then it was halted in order to make some necessary changes in the storyline, to suit the taste of the Telugu audience and include some mass elements which will satisfy the fans of Pawan Kalyan.

In the past, and in the combination of the trio, Pawan Kalyan, Super good and director Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao a film came called ‘Suswagatham’. It was released on January 1st 1997, which went on to become a big hit. The producers are planning to release the film on 1st January 2007, precisely a decade after the release of the film ‘Suswagatham’. Now, that is you call sentiment. Obviously, you cannot keep sentiment and luck factor out of film industry. They both are inseparable
